Big Bright Ideas! – May 19-21

Want to add some sizzle to your home or garden this summer? Head over to the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth on May 19 – 21 for the 37th Annual Fort Worth – Texas Home & Garden Show. Event attendees will have access to hundreds of companies and can visit with vendors one-on-one to learn more about the latest indoor and outdoor trends and solutions. In addition to the wide variety of exhibitors that will be at the event, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on, interactive gardening workshops with the Tarrant County Master Gardeners and enjoy free seminars from well-known author, Steve Huddleston, as he presents tips on selecting the best plants for your garden in North Texas. Want to make your outdoor space a no mosquito zone? Meet with experts to discuss the best course of action for your yard. And if you’re ready to take your home from dull to dazzling, visitors can check out simple hacks and tips to give life to a dull space without breaking the bank!

The Master Gardeners will also be hosting a workshop on both Saturday and Sunday on the beautiful art of Flower Pounding. In addition to these fantastic experiences, author Steve Huddleston will be hosting seminars on Plants for North Central Texas and Shade Gardens. Learn everything you need to know about building the perfect garden for the challenges that the scorching hot summers and frigid winters that Fort Worth offers.

These skilled Master Gardeners will guide you through the process of creating your very own Kokedama. You will learn how to make this trendy display and how to properly care for your creation.

For any Texas Gardener who’s killed a plant! Author Steve Huddleston guides new and experienced Texas gardeners how to grow gorgeous gardens with easy, colorful and low-water plants. From annuals to perennials you can have the garden of your dreams!
